I really enjoy being a part of the indie book community, and the whole reason I started this blog was to support and find other indie and self-published authors. If you are one or the other, please feel free to take advantage of my blog, and I'll help you spread the word about your books.

Guest Posts

I totally accept guest posts! If you've got an idea for one of my regular features (Books on Film, From the Trenches, Second Time Around or Writing 101), please feel free to use my email address to contact me about it (you'll find a link to my mail on the left side of the blog, beneath my photo). You may not give me any images to use with the guest post, not even if you can prove you created it yourself. I choose the images, but you get the text (and I won't take any credit for my original stick-figure drawings).

Your post will be filed under the appropriate label and the "guest posts" label. If you want to submit anything for the Second Time Around or Book on Film features, you must have read every book and watched every film you mean to write about. Your guest post will have a byline and a full "About the Author" box with a photo of you and all your relevant links, and I'll tell you exactly when it will appear on the blog.

Giveaways

Sometimes I do giveaways on the blog for various reasons. Sometimes, I do surprise comment giveaways for my most frequent commenters; the numbers are set back to zero after the prize is given out. When I'm not giving away my books, I'll be gifting winners of various blog giveaways with Amazon gift cards. To qualify for blog giveaways, you must be a follower who has commented under a Google account name (because I can't give prizes to Anonymous). If you win an Amazon gift card, you're free to use it for any merchandise of your choosing -- with the exception of any and all adult and offensive materials. 

If you'd like to submit your books for a giveaway on the blog, just let me know! I'll be happy to sponsor you. Your giveaway box will appear on the home page on the blog. I'll need an image measuring at least 200 x 200 pixels in order to properly represent your giveaway, and I will not host giveaways for longer than two weeks.

Advertising

Want to advertise your ebook? Have a Twitter account? Give me an image measuring at least 200 x 200 pixels, and the single link you want to use, and I'll be more than happy to show off your work. It'll appear on the blog for 7 days. All you have to do is tweet a link to my blog 7 times during that span (7 for 7). I will only run one ad for one author at a time, so contact me to learn how far out my ad schedule is and we'll arrange something. I don't do any traditional advertising on this blog; I save that for indie authors. You can choose to advertise your book, your blog or any other project you like, within reason. I reserve the right to tell you no at any time, for any reason.
